Hospitality Certificate II

Our popular SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality has opened up new employment opportunities for our students, particularly those who have not studied before. Since we began offering the qualification in 2016 we have been able to offer this in demand course three times a year. Our educators are highly qualified, with many years of hospitality experience that ensures that students get the very best access to education when they study at Marr Mooditj Training.

Hospitality Cert Placement

Denise Lynne (Educator) visits Marr Mooditj student during work placement.

The SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality is a ‘hands-on’ course that goes over three months, with students spending the initial time in the classroom, and in activities through which they can practice and improve their skills, ensure that they are safe to operate in the workplace and learning important aspects of customer relations.

When the knowledge and skills are developed students in this course spend time in real workplaces, including Allawah Grove Hostel in Guildford, aged care facilities and mining camps. It’s during these placements that the students hone their skills and get some real life practice that will make them work ready. The in-class, practical and work placement are all part of the learning and assessment to successfully achieve the qualification.

“I love meeting new people in this job, that’s what it is all about. We learn about different cultures and workplaces, we learn about all the different parts of the hospitality industry and we learn how to provide great service.

I will definitely go on and do higher level qualifications so I can have a career in hospitality” – Hospitality Student 2017.
